I hope you like your men sweet & polite I thought I was done with telling you but I ain’t nearly halfway through

I have seen so many photos of people making beautiful tents all over lovely blogland lately. I have always loved tents & making forts since I was little. There were five of us girls in my family & we were together all the time, so you can imagine the kind of amazing forts we would build. Anything we could find that wasn't already attached to a bed was fair game for us to snatch. Two years ago I bought a beautiful hippie-ish tapestry from Urban Outfitters. I used it on my bed for awhile. Now, if I have a picnic it's always the first thing I grab so I can sit pretty under the sun. Yesterday, I finally decided to make a tent over my bed. It was just that kind of day where I felt like being a little kid & hiding away. I think it turned out pretty well & it's so fun to sleep under.

In these frozen and silent nights sometimes in a dream you appear outside under the purple sky diamonds in the snow sparkle our hearts were singing

Last week was filled with visits from my mom & dad, cooking, baking, figuring how to take care of a live tree, sitting cozy on the couch watching Christmas movies & making homemade ornaments.
I'm really getting wrapped up in this holiday this year. It really could not be any more beautiful & amazing. Happy Monday! I will be sitting in front of my tree all day & then joining an old friend for an overdue catch up on life.

One exam down, a lot more to go! It's the weekend already & I'm so excited for it to start. I have a couple of things planned. Okay so it's only a couple more days before the move & I know I have been talking about this a lot but I'm so ready!
It's raining here now, a sign that fall is almost here. I went to the movie & saw Julie & Julia & Taking Woodstock. Julie & Julia was really cute. I liked it a lot, but wow did it make me so hungry! My friend Sapna & I went back to her house & basically scarfed down dinner again. Taking Woodstock, oh man did I have high hopes for this movie & it so let me down. I just thought there would be more or I dunno, something else. I probably wouldn't go see it again though, big bummer. Shea & I are watching a western on AMC right now with James Coburn in it & I just noticed he aged really well. He is one of my favorite older actors.
Have any of you seen any movies lately that you recommend? I'm always looking for new (or old) movies I have yet to see.

I just found out today that I will be going to Santa Fe for a whole week! My sister Shea & I are leaving on Sunday & who knows when we will be back?? I have been wanting to go all summer & I really can't believe we finally are!
We are going to see my brother Emmett, nephews, nieces & my other sister Amy. I haven't seen my sister Amy since I was 12! So it's going to be good. But I have soooo much to get done before I leave with making sure everything is reasy & set to go for this upcoming semester. I need to do my pilates to relax right now.
I love this room too!

I have completely fallen in love with Suzani! I learned about it last spring & I finally bought some suzani fabric today. I'm so excited about this & I think I'm going to do a painting. I just hope my whole house doesn't turn out to be some big suzani art piece! My sister might have a small problem with that.

I heard he sang a good song, I heard he had a style, And so I came to see him and listen for a while And there he was this young boy

I'm on holiday out of town & away from my lil home for the week. Im sitting on Dea's bed listening to her play the guitar & the rain is pouring hard outside. It's almost 4am

I just might stay here all day...
I am dedicating this Monday to me staying in my cozy bed & watching old movies i have never seen before. Let the films roll
