Now I hear there's a train It's coming on down the line It's yours if you hurry You've got still enough time & you don't need no ticket

If I was a cool kid...
I would jump on my longboard, surfboard, or in my kayak & take a ride. I think I have just might found my new adventure obsession!

Give me away now take me all down now Find out all of the pieces Give me away now, take me away 'Cause you give up all you wanted

At the moment I'm hoping I don't fall asleep as I'm writing this post & smack my little head on the keyboard. So it's going to be a short one today.
There are many things I want to say about my trip to Branson & all the little life lessons I have learned, but my brain is too tired to conjure anything up into clever words. Photos do the best at telling stories I say.

Come drink this water Come drink this blood Come and drink this love that you could not afford

One Week
Three Kids
A lake & a family reunion.

I'm on a family vacation in Branson, Missouri right now, but not exactly my family. I'm babysitting three kids while I'm on family vacation with their whole family. So my week will consist of swimming, eating, boating, tubing, eating, trying to remember everyone's name & waking up very early. Oh yeah & eating.

It feels like summer now.

I find hope & it gives me rest I find hope in a beating chest I find hope in what eyes don't see I find hope in your hate for me

There are two things that I really love being apart of in my life:
Blogging & TOMS. Blogging because I get to have my voice out there & I get to hear y'alls.
TOMS because I know that there is something out there that is bigger then me, but I can help in a small way & look cute doing it.

A couple of weeks ago one of my favorite blogger friends, Alfie, had one of the most brilliant ideas I have heard of. Both of us have many things in common & one of them is that we share a love for TOMS shoes. We put our heads together & thought it would be so fun to post every Thursday a photo of our own TOMS on our blogs & where we had traveled to that week.
So this is the first week of our blogging adventure called, TOMS in motion: a global photo project.

So if you come on here on Thursdays, you have to make sure & visit her amazing blog too, to see where she has been! So go on, go see right now! Oh wait comment first, then go see!
We both would love if you want to jump in on the fun to take on the global photo project with us! Link back to your post in the comment box.
Both Alfie & I are so excited to take on this blogging adventure & to see what y'all have to say.

Time will bring a well end of our trial One day there'll be no remnants no trace No residual feelings for me One day you won't remember me.

Things I learned on my trip this past weekend to Jackson, MS.
  • Crying is inevitable on a trip filled with crazy feelings & emotions flying around.
  • I'm still not good at saying good-bye & will never get used to it, no matter how many times I have to do it.
  • I love Nigerian food so much.
  • Let the past be the past & move on.
  • Wearing heels from 10am-3pm, not such a good idea.
  • I really have a phobia of snakes. Even dead ones.
  • I need a motorcycle someday.
  • Awkward situations happen. Just grin & bare it.
  • I have very colorful friends (or so this was pointed out to me.)
  • Say what you need to say & get it out before it's too late to say anything.
  • Sometimes life gives you real crappy situations & there is nothing you can do about it but move on.
  • Integrity, integrity, integrity.
  • Nerts (the card game) is one of my favorite games to play with my friends.
  • Oh yes, & playing spoons is so dangerous with long nails.

Your sword’s grown old and rusty Burnt beneath the rising sun It’s locked up like a trophy Forgetting all the things it’s done

Road Trip Adventure about to take place!

I didn't realize how busy I would be this week! So many things to do by Thursday. I'm heading off to Jackson, MS this weekend for my best friends graduation! I just can't believe that they are graduating from college! It's really crazy, just thinking about the past 4 years that we have been together. It's going to be a very fun weekend. I have two guy friends, Joshua & Casey, coming down from Nashville to see Shea & I & I'm so excited about that. I have been missing my friends so much & seeing them is long over do. I have made myself a TO DO list for the week, this way I won't forget anything. I'm in go mode! So I will be alas taking a small break from blogging this week till next Monday.

I'm so ready for this adventure & to see my loves!

I hope you like your men sweet & polite I thought I was done with telling you but I ain’t nearly halfway through

I have seen so many photos of people making beautiful tents all over lovely blogland lately. I have always loved tents & making forts since I was little. There were five of us girls in my family & we were together all the time, so you can imagine the kind of amazing forts we would build. Anything we could find that wasn't already attached to a bed was fair game for us to snatch. Two years ago I bought a beautiful hippie-ish tapestry from Urban Outfitters. I used it on my bed for awhile. Now, if I have a picnic it's always the first thing I grab so I can sit pretty under the sun. Yesterday, I finally decided to make a tent over my bed. It was just that kind of day where I felt like being a little kid & hiding away. I think it turned out pretty well & it's so fun to sleep under.
