I'm a big fan of music that A. has a good beat & B. that has a good message behind it. And One Day by Matisyahu ft. Akon has both. I heard this song for the first time last week on the radio & I really cannot stop listening to it. This is the first new song I have heard of Matisyahu's on his new album Light. I haven't listened to the other songs, but I'm thinking it's pretty amazing. There is also a version of One Day without Akon on it, but I think Akon does a really good job in adding his Senegalesan flows & they both sound so good together. I'm a big Akon fan so I'm really happy Matisyahu chose to collaborate with him.
I really do love this song & my eyes welled up the first time I heard it, call me a baby I guess. One Day was also the official song they used for this years Winter Olympics! How awesome is that! You can tune in to the rest of Matisyahu's album Light HERE.
