TOMS in motion
I'm having that itch to buy another pair of TOMS lately. Especially when I saw these new ones from the 2010 Fall collection. I think this is the best kind of itch to scratch. Okay, now I just have to pray for Mr. Budget to kick! Come on, this girl needs a new pair of TOMS!

I see friends shaking hands saying, "How do you do?" They're really saying, I...I love you & I think to myself what a wondeful world
One of my favorite things about TOMS is that they are so unique looking & when I see someone wearing TOMS I want to go up & give them a high five. It's like you are in a cool club with members you don't even know. Okay, maybe that's me getting carried away, but I do love seeing other people walking on the street wearing their TOMS proud.
This week I realized that I have a lot of friends that wear TOMS & I should take their photo sporting them. So my stylish friend Reagen was wearing his today & I knew that he would be the perfect candidate for this post.

I find hope & it gives me rest I find hope in a beating chest I find hope in what eyes don't see I find hope in your hate for me
There are two things that I really love being apart of in my life:
Blogging & TOMS. Blogging because I get to have my voice out there & I get to hear y'alls.
TOMS because I know that there is something out there that is bigger then me, but I can help in a small way & look cute doing it.
A couple of weeks ago one of my favorite blogger friends, Alfie, had one of the most brilliant ideas I have heard of. Both of us have many things in common & one of them is that we share a love for TOMS shoes. We put our heads together & thought it would be so fun to post every Thursday a photo of our own TOMS on our blogs & where we had traveled to that week.
So this is the first week of our blogging adventure called, TOMS in motion: a global photo project.
So if you come on here on Thursdays, you have to make sure & visit her amazing blog too, to see where she has been! So go on, go see right now! Oh wait comment first, then go see!
We both would love if you want to jump in on the fun to take on the global photo project with us! Link back to your post in the comment box.
Both Alfie & I are so excited to take on this blogging adventure & to see what y'all have to say.

Gypsy feet will wander Gypsy feet will stray neither love nor thunder can ever make them stay I can't tame a heart so wild like a jungle drum it beats
Tomorrow I will have the privilege to join with others all over the world and going barefoot all day for people that are not able to have a pair of shoes. If you have heard or even own a pair of TOMS shoes you probably know what I'm talking about. One Day Without Shoes is one of my favorite days of the year! Not only because it's an amazing cause, but I get an excuse for not wearing shoes! I'm a barefoot girl, so this day was made for me. I did One Day Without Shoes for the first time last year with a friend. We made shirts that said, "Going barefoot for one child without shoes." Then we had TOMS written on the shirt too. I remember how excited & so ready to tell anyone that asked me why I was walking around with bare feet. I did a lot of walking that day. I decided to walk to my campus, might have been not so smart. You become so much more aware of what's on the ground then ever before. I had to make sure there was no glass or sharp rocks were I would step. Every time I found a patch of grass, I ran to it like I had never seen something so beautiful in my life. Oh grass, thank you God for the soft, cushy grass. By the time I got back home my feet were burning like never before. I'm not a sissy at all, I used to climb trees barefoot all the time when I was a kid. But I had never felt so much pain on my feet in my life. I sat with my feet in the air until I had to head out again.
I'm still very excited this year about doing this! There are so many people doing it & it has grown so much since last year! There is actually a group that is going to meet in the square in down town Denton and have a barefoot walk around town. Yes, I am so planning on doing it! It's all about coming together and being heard & experiencing something that regular people all over this earth go through everyday. So APRIL 8th GO BAREFOOT & Be FREE!
I hope to work for a company like TOMS someday. Companies like this are changing the world & my generation is a part of it. Dude, how epic is that?!
Here are my photos from last year.

Yesterday it rained in Tennessee I heard it also rained in Tallahassee but not a drop fell on little old me 'cause I was in shoo-shoo-shoo
There is something you might not know about me, I never wear high heels. When I say never, it's really never! I can look back & count the many times I have worn high heels on one hand. I like to stay as low to the ground as much as possible & keep my toesies comfy. That said, on Valentines day, Shea & I had been walking around Northpark mall for awhile. Shea was wearing her super cute, strappy, very very high heels, & I was in my trusty orange suede TOMS. I could tell Shea was kind of hurting after 4 hours in her shoes & we were about to head home. So me being the absolutely great little sister I am, told her we should switch shoes & I would wear her heels. She looked at me in disbelief & said, "Okay!"
Let me just tell you that I didn't realize how high those heels actually were. I had to walk around the mall for 15 minutes holding onto my sister's arm, because I just knew that I was going to fall & end up eating the floor. I kept repeating in my head, "Little steps, little steps, little steps." I was in pain by the time we finally got to the parking lot. It felt like hot needles were poking the balls of my feet! I said, "That's it, I can't, I can't do it! I'm not a woman that wears heels!" I ripped those shoes off my feet & walked barefoot outside! Freedom! When we finally returned home I looked down at my feet & realized that I not only had one, but two, water blisters starring back at me on my toes! Unbelievable. And it was only 15minutes! How will I ever become a lady if I can't wear high heels?
So I have decided that I am going to become a shoe person. I will start to buy more shoes from thrift & resale stores mostly & try to work my way up to being able to wear heels. I have never really been a shoe person. I have my favorite shoes in my very very small collection & I think it's time that I add to it a little more. However, if I just end up buying flats, I'm okay with that. So I have already begun my search for ideas of the types of shoes I want to very soon purchase in this new journey of mine.
