Yesterday it rained in Tennessee I heard it also rained in Tallahassee but not a drop fell on little old me 'cause I was in shoo-shoo-shoo

There is something you might not know about me, I never wear high heels. When I say never, it's really never! I can look back & count the many times I have worn high heels on one hand. I like to stay as low to the ground as much as possible & keep my toesies comfy. That said, on Valentines day, Shea & I had been walking around Northpark mall for awhile. Shea was wearing her super cute, strappy, very very high heels, & I was in my trusty orange suede TOMS. I could tell Shea was kind of hurting after 4 hours in her shoes & we were about to head home. So me being the absolutely great little sister I am, told her we should switch shoes & I would wear her heels. She looked at me in disbelief & said, "Okay!"

Let me just tell you that I didn't realize how high those heels actually were. I had to walk around the mall for 15 minutes holding onto my sister's arm, because I just knew that I was going to fall & end up eating the floor. I kept repeating in my head, "Little steps, little steps, little steps." I was in pain by the time we finally got to the parking lot. It felt like hot needles were poking the balls of my feet! I said, "That's it, I can't, I can't do it! I'm not a woman that wears heels!" I ripped those shoes off my feet & walked barefoot outside! Freedom! When we finally returned home I looked down at my feet & realized that I not only had one, but two, water blisters starring back at me on my toes! Unbelievable. And it was only 15minutes! How will I ever become a lady if I can't wear high heels?

So I have decided that I am going to become a shoe person. I will start to buy more shoes from thrift & resale stores mostly & try to work my way up to being able to wear heels. I have never really been a shoe person. I have my favorite shoes in my very very small collection & I think it's time that I add to it a little more. However, if I just end up buying flats, I'm okay with that. So I have already begun my search for ideas of the types of shoes I want to very soon purchase in this new journey of mine.
Shoes: TOMS, Nordstrom, Freepeople, BCBG , TOMS, Freepeople

I never used to be a shoe person but I remember the first time I bought my first pair of absolutely killer heels. They were absolutely gorgeous and purple and I've had a bit of an obsession with buying shoes since. I bought two pairs of heels just last week, and have worn neither! You'll love them eventually :)

I've recently become a shoe person myself. I realized there was more to life than just tennis shoes...but it sure is hard to get used to heels!

After 15 minutes?! Oh?. Well, for me, if I don't wear heels (any length) or some kind of a pump, my feet actually starts to HURT, really bad! See, me and flats have never really dated sooooooooo.....its happily ever after for with flats. All 4 years of high school I wore heels NEVER flats. I'm still not a "shoe chick" though. I buy heels as I see what I like.

Oh and for the "Devil wears Prada" post, it was to make up your own words...I didn't pick any lines from the movie :)

i love shoes and I have been lusting over the toms silver glittery ones. I only wear heels if I will be sitting down, leaning against a wall or walking a very short distance. I just can't do it. Until I find that truly "comfortable" pair, I am sticking to my rules above.

I've always had a shoe problem, I LOVE THEM! i work in tennis shoes and scrubs all week, but I have like 30 pairs of heels at least. I love all the different pretty styles and colors, and they make me feel sexy:-)

Sooo I try to wear them on the weekends, woo hoo.

Speaking of, have a fab one!
