This has been a pretty brilliant Monday so far. I stayed up til 6:30 this morning talking with my friend Melissa on my couch about our lives & some heartbreak that the both of us have endured. I finally got to bed this morning around 7am. I know, the life of a college student. My sister woke me up so very kindly around 11am & I wanted to stab her in the eye for doing so. But when I finally got over my grouchiness I hopped outta bed. We took the afternoon & saw the new Emily Blunt movie The Young Victoria, directed by Jean-Marc Vallée with a screenplay written by Oscar winner Julian Fellows.
I figured since it's Monday & I write about Music on Mondays on here I could also write about movies. Why not? Well the movie was beautiful & Emily Blunt is spectacular as the very young queen. To see the way she grew up & everything she was restricted from was so interesting. Rupert Friend plays Prince Albert & he definitely stole the scenes he was in. I was really surprised to see Paul Bettany in this movie. My sister & I love him. I just wish I would have liked him in this movie more. But all & all I was a complete girl through this whole movie, I'm not going to lie. I giggled & smiled at the romantic parts as Victoria & Albert waltzed across the ballroom floor together. The music in this movie was also very beautiful & I will probably run & get the soundtrack very soon. So if you want to see just a beautiful movie & smile, go see it. Happy Movie Monday. Oh listen to the song Pride, In The Name Of Love by U2. It's a great song for this MLK holiday.

That Emily Blunt is so lovely.
She looks crazy good in blue. She makes his eyes look bluer :)
I love the costumes. I might just have to go see this :)
